The Education Minister on Thursday said that the free distribution of textbooks and stipend among the students of primary and secondary schools helped improve results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations. We want all to pass. The guardians have also had a good role behind the success. A total of 86.97 percent students passed this year’s JSC and JDC examinations at a rate of 83.71 percent last year. The number of participants, pass rate, number of highest GPA achievers and the number of academic institutions with 100 percent success have increased in comparison with last year’s JSC and JDC examinations. The government made the list of the top 20 institutions on the basis of five factors — rate of regular examinees, pass rate, number of GPA 5 achievers, number of students and average of GPA of the institution. Viqarunnisa Noon School secured the second position while Mymensingh Zilla School third, Mymensingh Girls Cadet College fourth and Motijheel Ideal School and College fifth.
